NEWS: SMU and Snodgrass Partners to Deliver Intercollegiate Athletics Webinar Series

Respected sports industry veterans will lead sessions targeted to the intercollegiate athletics industry and the current COVID-19 environment the need for athletic departments to screen student-athletes.

OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS. May 28, 2020 – The Southern Methodist University (SMU) Sport Management program is teaming with Snodgrass Partners, an established sports consulting and recruiting firm, to provide the intercollegiate athletics industry with a unique set of industry topics via webinar. Beginning on June 2, 2020, registered guests will have the opportunity to spend 45-minutes each Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET/10am PT with SMU Professor Peter Davis while learning from top industry veterans who lead their own sports-related organizations. Registered guests will learn from the guest speakers on a wide variety of topics targeting the intercollegiate athletics industry and the current COVID-19 environment in which we are all living. The webinar subject matter will include niche looks at important issues facing today’s college athletics leaders including Academic Progress Rate (APR), Administrative/Coach relationships, and preparing for talent needs when the future of sports in America (and beyond) gains some much-needed clarity.

About the SMU Sport Management Programs
The Department of Applied Physiology and Wellness offers undergraduate and graduate programs and manages research labs that promote academic rigor and the scientific advancement of the field of applied physiology.

The Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Sport Management (APSM) offers concentrations in Applied Physiology and Health Management, Sport Management, and Sport Performance Leadership.
