Steve Snodgrass

Steve has three decades of C-level management and marketing experience in diverse industries including financial, franchise, sports and service-driven entities. He is a seasoned business development executive with deep knowledge in marketing human capital solutions to senior ranking executives and board members. His proficiency gained from working with all levels of positions within organizations has provided clients with multiple management and human resource solutions.
Steve blends his business acumen with a sports industry skillset to the firm’s Sports Recruiting and Consulting practice. This includes playing and coaching tennis at the NCAA Division I level, ownership of an indoor tennis facility where he also served as general manager and head teaching pro, and the father of two NCAA student athletes.

Before founding Snodgrass Partners, Steve was a co-managing principal for the executive search practice within DeFrain Mayer, a large regional human resources consulting firm. He gained a rare perspective on the executive search process through earlier roles as vice president of corporate communications for international franchisor ERA Real Estate and vice president at a full-service advertising and public relations agency.
A four-year varsity tennis player at Kansas State University, Steve went on to coach the men’s and women’s team for seven years. As a young entrepreneur, Steve also designed, built and operated an indoor/outdoor racquet club and recreational facility in his late 20s. He remained the highest percentage owner of the club for 34 years and was instrumental in its sale in 2010.
Steve earned his Bachelor of Science degree from K-State. He holds certificates in numerous leadership programs including the Strategic Alliance Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. In addition, he has taught behavioral interviewing techniques and The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People (Stephen R. Covey Leadership Center). Steve is a graduate of the Leadership Overland Park Class of 1991 and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and Kansas City Society of Association Executives (KCSAE).
Steve has four grown children – Carrie, Lance, Jeff and Kelsey – and five grandchildren. In addition to playing and coaching at the collegiate level, Steve also understands what it’s like to be the parent of a student athlete. Lance played soccer at Regis University where he remains the all-time leader in assists. He was inducted in the Regis Hall of Fame in 2016. Jeff was a kicker at Kansas State University under coaching legend Bill Snyder. He received All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors in 2006. Steve and wife, Bridget, live in Overland Park, Kansas.

Tom Jacobs is a 28-year veteran in the field of athletics administration, having previously served in various capacities at the Big Eight Conference (now the Big XII Conference), the University of California, Berkeley, the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) and the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
As a director of championships at the NCAA, Tom worked with a variety of championships, which included Division I Men’s Soccer (College Cup), Division I Men’s and Women’s Tennis and Division I Men’s Ice Hockey (Frozen Four), to name a few. During his 17-year career at the NCAA, he also worked with the sports of baseball, basketball, wrestling, and water polo. Additionally, he served as a liaison to the Division I Championships/Competition Cabinet.

While at the USTA, Tom played a critical role in the creation of a new organizational structure for Player Development. He also planned, organized and executed the successful implementation of USTA Regional Training Centers and oversaw the addition of USTA Training Center-East in New York. He was a key player in implementing Player Development’s Team USA outreach efforts with stakeholders across the country. He also played a critical role for Player Development as part of the newly-constructed USTA National Campus, “The Home of American Tennis” in Orlando.
Tom received his degree in business administration from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in sports administration and facility management from Ohio University. He resides in Parkland, Florida with his wife, Lori. They have three children (Connor-23, Derek-20 and Emma-18). Derek is a student-athlete at Pittsburg State University (baseball) and Emma at Kansas State University (soccer).

Lee Dicklitch
Vice President, Collegiate Sports
Throughout a 16-year career working in the sports and entertainment industry, Lee has served in a variety of roles at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and within the minor-league sports landscape.
Working on the NCAA Championships and Alliances staff, Lee served as an associate director on the Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and Branding/Fan Experience teams for six years. In that capacity, he had oversight of the creative development and operational planning of the in-venue fan experience for NCAA’s March Madness and Men’s Final Four. In addition, Lee supported numerous other championship planning teams to strategically integrate the goals of the NCAA Corporate Champions and Partners, while maintaining national office brand consistency to maximize the student-athlete and fan experience.
Notable sport administration support also included the Division I Football (FCS), Division I Men’s Ice Hockey (Frozen Four), Division I Men’s Soccer (College Cup) and Men’s Lacrosse Championships. Lee has also supported the game production and media operations staff at seven Rose Bowl Games and two BCS National Championships.

Following his time at the NCAA, Lee joined the leadership team with the Indy Fuel ECHL minor league hockey affiliate of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks and AHL’s Rockford IceHogs prior to their inaugural season. Lee’s efforts focused primarily upon the continued growth of the organization’s positive presence in the community, while delivering an entertaining and high-quality fan experience to further develop awareness for the integration of professional hockey back into the region for the first time in a decade.
Lee received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse College of Business (marketing) and was a four-year member of the men’s basketball team. He has also earned master’s degrees from Ohio University’s School of Recreation and Sports Sciences (coaching education concentration) and from Butler University’s Andre B. Jolynn Johnson Smith

Jolynn Johnson Smith is a seasoned staffing and recruiting professional with more than 20 years of experience working for an array of companies, including GE/Genworth Financial, the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, and numerous consulting firms. She also worked for NBC TV, radio at the corporate offices in Washington, D.C., and Philip Morris, USA on its production management team. Jolynn hails from a distinguished tennis family. Her father, Robert W. Johnson, Jr., is a retired tennis professional and former tennis coach at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Jolynn is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Robert Walter “Whirlwind” Johnson, who was notably one of the early mentors and trainers of outstanding African American tennis professionals, including Arthur Ashe and Althea Gibson.

Christa Townsend

Christa has a proven track record of identifying, training, and developing high-performing, results-oriented teams during her 25-year career. She is experienced in mergers, co-promotions, new business development, and product launches. A former professional tennis player, Christa also played in college and later served as head women’s coach for two NCAA Division I programs. She holds top-ranked player status in singles and doubles in Missouri Valley and Southern California USTA sections. Additionally, Christa is a certified USPTR professional. Matt Westfall

Matt began his life absorbed in golf and tennis. He played golf in high school, then changed sports for college when he played tennis under Coach Steve Snodgrass at Kansas State University. After a year playing varsity tennis at K-State, a near life-ending car accident, in which the doctors told him he would never walk again, became his primary testing ground. Instead of resigning himself to the sidelines, Matt recovered and went on to play three more years of varsity tennis at K-State. After graduation, he spent most of his career meeting the demands of the investment marketplace by matching clients with appropriate portfolios. Throughout, he continued his involvement with tennis and golf, teaching lessons in both sports in various cities and participating in tournaments himself.
