A former professional athlete who played in the National Hockey League, John Grahame is Managing Partner-Founder for Tri-Search, a talent recruitment firm focusing on Customized Project Recruiting (CPR) serving companies in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. Tri-Search and Snodgrass Partners share operational synergies. John had great success during his 14-year career as a hockey player – winning the Calder Cup in 1999 with the Providence Bruins and the prestigious Stanley Cup in 2004 with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He also had the tremendous honor of being selected as a member of the USA Olympic Hockey Team in 2006.
Since retiring from hockey, John has had success in various industries including sports and entertainment, oil and gas, energy, construction services, manufacturing, technology and retail. To date, he has led his teams to the effective completion of over 500 placements equating in excess of $10 million in revenue within the recruitment industry. His diverse resume also includes founding and creating Rorschach in 2009, a top-tier wine.
John believes there is a great deal of crossover between professional sports and the business world. He’s been described as a competitive and extremely driven leader who believes integrity and collaboration are both major foundations for a team atmosphere.
John attended Lake Superior State University on a full athletic scholarship where he studied business and communications. He is active in the Denver community serving on the Board of Advisors for the ACE Scholarship Foundation and the Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation. John, and his wife Niki, have three sons, Colton, Knox and Lucas.
