Christa Townsend

Christa has a proven track record of identifying, training, and developing high-performing, results-oriented teams during her 25-year career. She is experienced in mergers, co-promotions, new business development, and product launches. A former professional tennis player, Christa also played in college and later served as head women’s coach for two NCAA Division I programs. She holds top-ranked player status in singles and doubles in Missouri Valley and Southern California USTA sections. Additionally, Christa is a certified USPTR professional. She believes that the most critical decision any successful entity makes is to find the best-qualified person for the job who will also be a good fit for the organization’s culture.

Prior to joining Snodgrass Partners, Christa held numerous sales and marketing management roles at leading pharmaceutical companies including Solvay Pharmaceuticals (now AbbVie), inVentiv Health , Sanofi Aventis, Endo Pharmaceuticals, and Pernix Therapeutics. She was named a seven-time President’s Club winner, an International Innovation Award winner, and Sales Director of the Year. In addition, Christa spearheaded the hiring of the leadership team for a new primary care sales division, which was comprised of 35 district managers and eight regional directors.

A varsity tennis player at Missouri State University, Christa played tennis professionally and is a member of the Missouri State Athletic Hall of Fame. She served as a coach for the women’s teams at Kansas State University and Iowa State University. 

Christa earned degrees in biology, chemistry and English from Missouri State and her master’s in education with an emphasis in sports psychology and exercise physiology from Kansas State University. She is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at Wharton School of Business.
